They’re Screaming for Ice Cream with BACON in it!

Since we’re trying to make what we can at home instead of buying things pre-made, the gelato maker I bought a couple of years ago is being used often.

I don’t think I realized how easy it was to actually make ice cream instead of buying it at the store. I remember when I was a kid, my parent's had an old fashioned ice cream maker where you put ice and salt in a bucket and had to turn it - a lot. It was fun for a while, but then your patience ran out when it was still soup and your arms were super tired.

A Green Shake - That a Kid Will Drink

Sam attended a birthday party a swim club that also has a café and smoothie bar. While the kids were having a blast in the pool, having run out of the house without eating lunch, I headed over to the café with another Mom. I ordered a shake with kale and avocado and pineapple, which was really good. I headed back to the pool area with it and was stopped immediately by Sam saying, “What’s that? Can I have some?”

No one complained when I got rid of processed food!

We’ve always eaten pretty healthy, or so I thought. A few cereal bars, fruit snacks and boxes of whatever were staples in the cupboard along with the fruits and veggies that always get served. When I started my journey to get rid of Lyme and feel better, it led me to learn more about how and what to eat. This journey led me down the road of the traditional diet and to the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA), which teaches about a nutrient-dense whole food diet.
